...at the Pearl St. Mall of all places. This guy is FAR better than any "bar band" player I've ever seen. He said he's living out of his camper, but, man, the guy can play. He said he's going to be in the "America's Got Talent" contest next season. Check out his stuff. He's not Satriani, Vai, or Johnson, but with some backing, this guy could seriously go places. Check him out:

Strange dude, and could do without the pointless minute and a half intros, but a darn good guitar player...

Yeah, that's a little odd, granted, but.....man, the guy's good!

We have very different ideas about being able to really play.

Strange dude:imwithstupid:

We have very different ideas about being able to really play.If you listen to a few songs by each, they are actually coming from very similar backgrounds. You're guy is more bluesy-rock while C_M's is more on the progressive side of rock. Both technically proficient players.

Anybody who is on the CandyRat label is just stupidly good at playing their instrument. Dufor, McKee, Ross, obviously Steffen. Personally, I love all the acoustic work the label puts out.

Agreed! When I discovered Candyrat, my faith in the future of guitar music was boosted. But also, I grew up around music and studio musicians in Los Angeles, so I have very high standards.

But only one of them has good tone and no mistakes. Plus, if you watched the second video, you'd say my guy is more Irishy. Or some of his other videos, you'd say he was more classicaly... or something else. Read his bio on Candyrat and tell me they are in the same league.

This guy's good as well. He reminds me of John Petrucci in the couple songs I have from a G3 show in Tokyo (Glassgow Kiss). Also, it's definately recorded better than Chance's stuff......but then he's probably not living in his camper either. ;) But, i tend to like Chance's stuff better, for the speed and technique, much like I love Satriani and Vai, but also Eric Johnson and SRV. It's all good. I just thought I'd shout out this local guy playing a battery-powere mini-amp, at the mall. Not something you see everyday amidst the usual street hawkers.

This guy RAWKS too. I love the acoustic set, especially the top link. It's also recorded very well, something that Chase's is not, unfortunately. I'm gonna look into getting some of Dufor's stuff. Thanks for the links!

Yeah, I'm out of line. Insomnia and bad mood rule me right now
