Just bought these diecast jets out of the blue. My two favorite jets of all time. I feel like a kid again, having toys!

These are a bit old school jets. Can ya guess what they are? :)

F4 - Phantom was always over head in Great Falls when I was a kid.

Yup. The one on the left is the A-7 Corsair. The one on the right is the F-8 Crusader.

Yep! Vought F-8 and A-7.

They definitely didn't set the world on fire and look kinda weird with the huge open mouth :jawdrop:, but I just loved them.

I hope this doesn't make me start collecting other planes such as the F-4, A-6, F-105, F-111 that I like!

I enjoy a good F-18 or F-22. Got buzzed by an F-16 again today. Luckily no afterburner this time!

One of my favorite things about working on Buckley is when the F-16's take off and fly right over the parking lot and set off a bunch of car alarms... I laugh every time.

Probably the A-10. That the Air Force hates them just adds to the admiration.

But favorite plane of all time goes to:

and

A Merlin powered Spit on a low pass is one of the most beautiful sounds in the world...

My father flew the F-4 Phantom II and the A-4 Skyhawk. So, I've always been partial to them, especially the bent-wing F-4.

As a reflection of excellent performance in spite of its bulk, the F-4 was dubbed "the triumph of thrust over aerodynamics."It's just a mean looking plane and still one of the fastest we ever put in the air (pity it never had an internal cannon until the 'E' variant or maybe it'd been better received by pilots in Vietnam).

I also *love* the MiG-29, and say what you will, if I ever had the chance to fly only one modern jet, I'd take the MiG-29 over anything else...

For prop planes, I still prefer the P-51 to the Sopwith Camel...er...Hurricane...wait, Spitfire! :p

And, if I could only fly one WWII era fighter, I'd take the P-51D over anything else.

+1 f4 phantom...
I don’t think it was aerodynamic enough to fly until they stuffed 2 engines in it…

Noice. A-6.

When I lived in Cali, we used to go to the Moffet Field Airshow every year. They had an EA-6B which I thought looked really cool... Kinda like this one.

Another vote for the F4.
It was the jet I remember most as a kid. I can remember growing up in Florida sitting out in the surf line up watching them fly over our heads. Patrick AFB's runway took of right over the water. Awesome sight to be that close while out surfing.

I have the same memories of Homestead AFB. The F4's were always overhead, until they switched over to F16's.

There's something about a jet being all chrome and shiny.

My dad was a Medicine Man on an F-101 Voodoo crew. His unit did photo recon of missile sites during the Cuban missile crisis.
