FINALLY I bought my favorite bike after 4 years of dreaming about it. I know the riding season is up but better late then never. I got a 2009 YZF R6 the orange and black edition. Bought from Coyote motorsport.

They gave me $1000 for trade in value for the 98 ninja 250. Best thing is I got it direct out the shipping crate. Funny thing was As we were signing the papers I didn't even know what color I was getting, they just said I was approved, but we really never got to choose which on I wanted. I told jen I hope I get the orange and black one. Not even a minute later the guy comes back and way like " are you cool with orange and black? lol. Also they threw in a sick warranty deal, and gave me new tie downs since mine weren't cutting it.

NEway since it's night I didn't take pics but here's what the bastard looks like from web pics.

i like the orange so much that i would dis the stickers
they just distract from the beautiful paintjob
either way, congrats!
nice thing about CO is that the weather always breaks in the winter long enough for a couple days of riding

Now that you've had it for a while how do you like it?

I bought a 2008 with dreams of turning it into a track bike, but after riding at HPR a few times it wasn't right for me. I felt like I was going to fly right over the front/top of the bike when braking hard before the corners. It rode like I was perched "on" the bike instead of being part of the bike. I don't know how to describe it, it just rode really strange. We set up the suspension correctly, put Power 1's on it....but it just didn't feel right. My wifes CBR600RR and my friends GSXR600 felt better to me. I sold it this summer..... Hmmmmmmm

To tell you the truth, I favor my old 04 CBR's riding position a lil bit more. Also reviews and magazines say that the R6 is hard to dial in suspention wise but after you get it it all butter. But im a taller but small guy 6'0 at a solid 135lbs. Out the box the suspension is too stiff for me. I also never likes Dunlop tires so I feels a little skechy on this thing.

Since I really cant push it to "my limit" since im in the break in period, I really cant tell you much because I only ridden it 3 or 4 times now and its all been in a straight line .

Jesus, you're skinnier than me and that's almost impossible.

Either way, I hope you love it. It's a beauty! Have fun looking at in the garage all winter; one thing I hate about buying bikes at the end of a riding season.

Nice ride. Ditch the dunlops. I put bt016's on mine and I have way more confidence now and the bike turns in much better.
