Carfax is nearly worthless. The buyback guarantee doesn't cover shit and they miss information constantly. Kind of of the definition of false advertising and then hiding in the disclosures.

Okay people if you see stuff on your carfax you should be happy. If you see nothing you should worry. Why? The shit hole companies that do bad work dont report to carfax. Billybob from down the street doesnt report to car fax. What a waste of money to even ask for one.

Alright folks recently I've stumbled upon a way to check your VIN number (http://www.clubintegra.com/board/showthread.php?t=84245#) for free.
It uses Autocheck, which is pretty much CarFax.
What I assume happened is this dealership got a 1 year sub, or maybe unlimited sub to this site and embedded it in their own website. Either way this stuff actually works lol.

1. copy and paste this into your browser 'http://www.northcitymotors.com/autocheck.aspx?vin='
minus the quotes of course.
2. see where the '=' sign is? type in your vin number in ALL CAPS. Ex: 'http://www.northcitymotors.com/autocheck.aspx?vin=JH4DC200000001542'
3. Hit enter
4. ???
5. Profit?

Yeah, they switched it in 2003. Thought about a B5 S4, but with the timing belt, water pump and turbo issues, I figured I'd go with the B6. They just has valve cover gaskets, control arms and timing chain issues. :lol: The one I'm looking at has had all that done so far.

I'd LOVE an Avant... but I can't find any locally for sale w/ a 6 speed. They are all autos, and even across the country there's only 2 for sale that I've found.
