There is rampant speculation amongst us V4 afficianados that Honda will again turn out a V4 powered superbike no later than 2012. There is some question as to whether or not Honda will take the Fireblade to a V4 or turn out a second machine with a sticker closer to that of the Aprilia RSV4. This is all based on the recent procurement of trademark patents as well as design patents by Honda, specifically the reprocurement of the "RVF" trademark.
I certainly hope this is the case. For those of you who don't have any saddle time on a proper V4, all I can say is once you've experienced all of the positive effects that a V4 has on center of gravity, usable HP, and throttle response--You'll never go back to an inline.
