We drove by a Taco Bell today and Sammy asked if I liked Taco Bell. I told her that people don't actually like Taco Bell, they just eat there. So, do people "like" Taco Bell?

mehh...

When comparing the bell to authentic mexican food, it's total and complete crap.

If you're looking for fast food options, I would not be opposed to a couple of tacos from there. If I had my choice between there and say, Jack in the Box or Del Taco I'd choose Taco Bell.

Bleh. When they re-released the cheesy crunchy gordita, or whatever it's called, I went there and bought 2 because I used to get those all the time. Got through the first one and about threw up. I haven't been back since.

if its after 9pm and i am in Loveland and the rest of my choices are closed I will go with two chicken chalupas supreme...otherwise i have better choices.

There are a few things that are pretty good. First, their bean and cheese burritos are awesome. But then again, how does one fuck up beans and cheese in a tortilla?

The quesadillas are pretty good too, and their steak is actually pretty good for being fast food. Otherwise, I don't spend my day dreaming about dinner tonight at Taco Bell.

When comparing the bell to authentic mexican food, it's total and complete crap. Can you even make that comparison?

I eat there every couple of months, purely for convenience. Fast, cheap and edible (mostly) substance are it's only redeeming qualities. Then it takes me a couple of months to forget that I shouldn't eat there.

Taco Bell reminds me of 10th grade c. 1983. Sometimes I reminisce by having a meal. Seriously terrible slop though. I have eaten at the headquarters and still, terrible.

I will say though, I compare Taco Bell to most mexican restaurants. Sadly Taco Bell has better food than some mexican restaurants. I've definitely eaten at a mexican restaurant (like El Azteca in Winter Park) and considered the meal at Taco Bell to be FAR better quality, taste, and overall "my stomach happiness" the next day.

I'd rather eat at Casa Bonita. That's right, I said it.

Where's the option of "I like it, but don't make a point of going there"?

blech... the last time I went there, even their Sopapillas were awful. Otherwise, it was your typical microwave TV dinner, lol.

Is it even "food"? :dunno:

I've only eaten Taco Bell exactly once. On a CSC ride a couple years ago actually, where we ended up in Monument and I was starving.

People's affinity for taco bell is directly proportional to how drunk they are.

I ate at Taco Hell when you and Bri were at McBarfalds in Gunnison. Both bad choices IMO.

Count me in the "it's ok, cheap, and convenient, but there are better options" group. I won't go looking for one, but if they're my only option, I won't necessarily avoid them. Like Ricky said, I've had some "authentic" Mexican food from some places and thought Taco Bell was better.

Taco Bell is foul, just foul and I don't like that place. After getting sick there a long time ago, I won't go back. I never really did like Taco Bell but for the most part it's cheap and usually one is always close to snag a quick lunch at.

I don't know what it is, but their taco meat always tasted like it was swept up off the floor at a meat processing plant, then bagged and given to Taco Bell to use. Only thing Taco Bell has that's decent are their nachos. But even then, if you get the Bell Grande, you've got the same meat that gets swept off the floor and is used on the tacos.

I'm sorry but Taco Bell just sucks ass, Del Taco owns them by a mile. But I'm not sure if Denver has these mexican joints but down here in the Springs, we've got Monica's, Taco Express, Taco Star, Alfonso's and Albertacos, all of which(except for Albertaco's) flat destroy Taco Bell and even Del Taco. Only reason I never liked Albertaco's is it was a big Ricer/Squid hangout and seemed like those clowns would always destroy the restaurant. You'd go in there and it looked like a bomb went off, food everywhere, total dump.

Taco Bell

I, for one it seems, actually love Taco Bell. Those steak quesodillas with extra jalepeno sauce are God's gift to man, and I will absolutely go out of my way to pick up Taco Bell. So much better than a burger any day.

I only eat there every couple months or so, but I do like it. Especially when you get a fresh chalupa shell...

I used to eat there all the time. Cheesey Gordita Crunch is delicioussss. It's actually one of the "healthier" fast food chains.

Taco Bell is OK every year or so when there's nothing else available.

Back in the Enchirito days (1980's) they were better. Back then I ate there maybe once a month.

First choice for Mexican food is La Carretta. La Casita is great when you're in a hurry.

When I lived in Vegas, we used to frequent El Pollo Loco.

They opened up several locations in Denver a while back and I guess they still have one.

That stuff rocked for fast food mexican!

Almost as awesome as Del Taco. :) Used to live here, both have drive thru and dining area, only 1 is 24 hours though.

If you have the intestinal fortitude to eat at Del Taco then more power to ya...

It was good for a strawberry milkshake and quesadilla at 3am when we were drunk/stoned in college, but I can't eat there now...

^^Um, Steve, what exactly DO you want your poop to smell like and why does it matter?

Poop should smell like poop, not VOMIT. You have to wonder when what was in that Taco bell chemical ;dare I say food, taco to make my movement smell like puke.

I don't go out of my way to smell it, but when you detect the horrific odor of up-chuck in your stool, alarm bells go off in your brain telling you to NEVER eat that swill again. :puke:

MetaLord 9
Tue Dec 7th, 2010, 02:14 PM
...Um, so when food comes out the way it went in & smells like vomit, it's normal and fine. When the same food comes out the other side and smells like vomit, then there must be something wrong with it?

I feel your logic train has derailed...unless of course if you were to barf up some taco bell and it actually smelled like stool.

I think Casa Bonita is like an acid trip for those who cant afford actual acid.
For that matter it is an extraordinary acid trip for those who can afford it.
