Of course it's the holidays, but I thought I'd put this opening out there for anyone who might have the background in Instructional Design. The job description goes something like this...

POSITION PURPOSE
The Instructional Designer works with faculty and subject matter experts to design and develop instructionally effective courses for a variety of delivery modes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


Manages the creation, delivery, and quality assurance of instructionally effective content within an established timeframe.
Applies instructional design theory and best practices to course content.
Collaborates with various stakeholders in the course development process.
Designs engaging learning activities, objects, and multimedia in courses
Assists in the development of learning goals and assessment for course content.
Maintains a system of tracking completion of courses
Ensures compliance with established instructional design guidelines
Interfaces with other areas of the college
Performs any other duties, as assigned

JOB QUALIFICATIONS


Bachelor’s degree in instructional design or related field; Master’s preferred
Minimum of 3 years experience in instructional design.
Knowledge of instructional design and learning theories.
Knowledge of outcomes based assessment.
Strong attention to detail and proofreading.
Working knowledge of spreadsheets, databases, word processing software, Project and SharePoint.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Knowledge of copyright, intellectual property and section 508 compliance.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Must be highly organized and able to meet deadlines
