A knee caddy scooter thingy instead of crutches? Sure would help out with getting around the house and cooking stuff and not tripping over the dog

Go to King Supers. Ride the rascal home. If they see you, make sure you get the chase on video.

Have you checked some of the durable medical equipment stores around town? I thought they rented these out to people.

Get a nice swively-type chair and remove the arms. That's what worked for me a month or so ago. I was non-weight bearing on my right leg for a couple weeks.
Hope that helps!

Know a lady that had one not too long ago. Let me go ask her if she is still in need of it, or if you guys can make a deal

I looked into those things when I was recovering. Then decided that carpet and swively scooter thingys might be more dangerous than it was worth. Apria Healtcare actually directed me to Walgreens where I found those things.

When I did my knee I had a broken hand so I couldn't use crutches. And it was my knee so the cart wouldn't have worked, but honestly a walker came in super handy... Plus the front of them has wheels so it's tons of fun to scoot around quickly on them.

I will cast a second vote for the walker, when I had knee surgery it made getting around much easier. The only negative is it doesnt work for stairs.

I think Walgreens even rents them. I know the rent crutches and other stuff like that

I thought about renting one of those while I was on crutches. Problem is, I have stairs. I figured out that hopping around the house was far easier. After a month on crutches, I didn't even use them in the house anymore.

I can't do a walker, no weight baring on ankle for 2-3 weeks. Ankle was reconstructed

Be glad you only have to be off it for 2-3 weeks. I think Jeff beats me in off-feet time, but I was off mine 3 weeks before surgery, and 8 weeks after. I thought I was gonna freak out the day I got my cast off.

Oh man that's vicious...
I was off for 3 weeks after then 50% for another 2 weeks and I thought I was gonna go nuts... I couldn't do 2 months, I'd have cut the thing off myself!
(Now where'd I put that sawzall???)

Not sure if you found one, but there's a nice upscale one for sale here in the Springs on CL.

Steerable with 4 wheels for stability.

Thanks I hopefully only have one more week of no pressure, then I can start baring weight on the cast. Crossinfingers, cause this hopping on one leg sucks.
