hey so i got a gen 1 hayabusa, and since i put it up for winter, i was planning on getting the throttle cables lubed up somewhere as they were starting to feel a tad sticky. well i found out the other day that my four year old and his buddy thought it would be a good idea to work on daddys bike and twisted all the adjustments in and out on the throttle, now with the stickyness, my idle is everywhere and i sure i could lube them myself, but i have no idea how to adjust the cables back to where they were... anyone got a rough idea about what this costs to get this done at the shop? thanks... i would call around except im in mexico right now, just seeing if anyone knew here...

Spend a few bucks on a shop manual and do it yourself.
Wont cost you anything but that and your time.
Then you can payback your buddies by "fixing" thier bike, then your a hero.

If you get lazy, $20 bucks for us to remove both cables, lube, install and adjust.

I would just hit up your local shop; they range in price, but you can pick up one for less than $10. I think I spent about $8 on mine, and I grabbed it from Vickery.

:dunno: I use some (black) graphite cable lube that I have around for my mountain bike cables. It's thin like oil and not gooey like white lithium grease.

General purpose cable lube. I like it because the carrier deposits the graphite in the cable and then gradually evaporates, no oil or grease left to attract dirt. It's not critical, in a pinch you can even use teflon spray.
