I know that the job market is hurting just about everywhere, but I am wrapping up school soon and would really like to stay in the area for a while, BUT that means I would need to get a job here.

I've got a BS and MS in Mech Eng and will have a MS in Environmental Health. I've got plenty of design/drafting/fabrication experience, less project managing/programing/controls experience and I'm a GREAT people person ;)

Anything out there?

Man, stay in school if you can... The job market sucks.

I don't know if you're interested, but there was some dude on here that posted up a job that sounded like he needs someone to stay overnight at his house and monitor his gas. Talk about dirty jobs. Yuch. :)

Dave,
Years ago I worked for Volt Technical Services. They used to be located in DT Denver. At the time, I had built up their entire Engineering verticle. I'm not sure if they maintained that verticle, but you can always give them a call and see.

Also, I think Aerotech might have an Engineering dept as well.

It's a start maybe.

I'm all IT lately, but if I hear of anything I will sure ping you.

Also, look up all the big/medium sized Engineering firms in town and start warming up to the HR dept. It's been so long, that as far as the firms I used to work with, I can't remember who was Civil and who did Mechanical, or who is still around these days at all. Too long ago.

Thanks all

I have looked into Vestas, they are hiring a couple mechanics in Limon according to their career page, but I applied for a position in Portland. I am also looking at their recent grad program. I also looked at Encana and some other oil/gas companies, but there isn't much of anything on the ME side of things.

As far as school...I have stayed in school as long as I can stand, I'm 26 with a BS and 2 masters. I came out here to continue school because the job market sucked, but I am done. Maybe I'll go back for a MBA down the line, but for now I need to put all this education to work
