Dear Riders,
I'm having a problem getting my old '93 Kawi ninja 600 to start. I had it been winter stored until yesterday when I tried to start it. It had been sitting for about three weeks without running, I pegged out a charger so I don't think the battery was dead. All the lights are operating but when I first got the bike cranking it wouldn't run. As I continued to crank it eventually the motor just stopped cranking. Now all that is happening is when the ignition is pressed is I here is electrical crack by what seems to be the main fuse which I checked along with the others, which are all working. Any ideas?

Thanks,
motaboy

your gunna have to start at the basics. Check the voltage at the battery. Is it good? above 12 volts.

I have had that same 'crack', it ended up being the battery connections. Make sure they are clean (not rusted) and tight.
Failing that replace the battery.

One thing you can try since you have carbs is to get a buddy to give you a push start, I did that more than once when my battery went bad.
