I actually just finished watching the entire thing over here in Iraq. First two seasons I was hooked, then it dropped off and towards the end I was pretty much dissapointed. It got waaay too touchy-feely and really lost most of its Sci-Fi origins. Overall I give it a B-.

I am proud to say that I have never seen one second of that piece of crap, rip-off for the modern day. There is only ONE Battlestar Galactica and it was in 1978.

I only watched a few episodes of the new series and that was enough. I think what saved it in the ratings is that enough time had passed that there was a whole new audience that had never seen the original. It also helped that it was not that big in syndication so the new audience didn't get spoiled.

Fortunately the producers usually get a remake right with a new cast, look at Star Trek, Stargate, even the terrible Knight Rider.
