The DP (http://www.denverpost.com/breakingnews/ci_17414390) has pretty much the same news as posted above by dragos and Ricky:

Jordan Steffen writes:
One person died and another has been taken to the hospital this afternoon after a motorcycle crashed on Highlands Ranch Parkway.

At 12:02 p.m. the Douglas County Sheriff's office responded to the motorcycle accident on Highlands Ranch Parkway, just west of Broadway, according to spokesman Ron Hanavan.

The driver of the motorcycle was killed.

A pedestrian was injured secondary to the crash and taken to a hospital, Hanavan said.

The condition of the pedestrian wasn't immediately available.

This story will be updated as more information becomes available.

RIP rider... way early in the season, let's not get too excited.

Had two guys go down over the weekend here in Alabama on a group ride, one of which is my good friend. Both were very lucky they didn't come out seriously injured.

Ugh - it's too early to start hearing this. Well it's always too early to hear about a rider going down but seriously?... February?

Cagers aren't looking for us right now, roads aren't clear...we need to be super extra careful this time of year on the bike. Be safe out there guys..

RIP Rider

I love bikers (nohomo). Nice to know I've met some cool people in CO already.

I rode through there today. No remnants. can't even tell something went down. There's definitely gravel there just as much as everywhere else, but it's on a straight section, so I wonder wth happened? and a 45 zone too, he must have not been wearing gear
