Trauma expert at the Leeds hospital, Professor Peter Giannoudis, said: "Gary's accident was in the very top scale in terms of the severity of the injuries that he received.". After spending 6 weeks in an artificial coma, Gary had to undergo a total of 38 operations to save his life."
