Shuttle Discovery launches at 2:50pm Mountain time! A little over 30 minutes away.

Oh so they filter the Denver internet now, eh? That's probably partially my fault. They didn't like that I was capable of doing my job and beyond, and still had time to do shit on the internet.

Did they say why?

There was some technical group monitoring weather or something that had a failed computer, and it was a requirement for launch. But they made it.

nasatv and google's chrome browser is no go. Had to switch over to alternate mode of web delivery. IE and WMP works.

clean launch...

Was able to watch the launch here even with the 'Net nannies! One of the rare times that I'm grateful to work with a bunch of wannabe (and some not-so-wannabe) rocket scientists.

Incredible. And I'm a girl so I can say it was also a bit emotional.

They block streaming media here, and it wouldn't play on my Droid. :violin:
