I made it to Nevada today from Colorado early enough to get a quick ride in! Bike's been sitting in mom's garage for 7 months or so and fired right up. I managed to spin it around the neighborhood and out on the highway for a good 45 mins or so, just long enough to attract police attention, apparently, lol.

I even managed to get my Akra slip-ons installed. They sound siiick, pictures to come tomorrow.

Anyway, I've been waiting almost 15 months to get back on 2 wheels and it finally happened today! I'll be back in Colorado in about two weeks and it's riding season! Woohoo!!!:vader:

I fully expected to see the bed of the pickup full of boxes and the bike INSIDE a trailer. Friggin' newbs

Hahaha. I probably would have, but I've got a ton of little things, baby furniture, a mattress, and a bunch of small parts, items and clothes. Would be a MUCH bigger pain to try and get that stuff NOT to blow away in the back of the truck, especially considering the 80+ MPH winds we're experiencing out here right now.

Besides, I loaded the bike with a fork lift and have all the special bar straps and Nissan mounting rails. ;) That and I'm doing the 1000 miles straight through without stopping at a Hotel. :viking:

I just picked it up from the shop for the 500 mile service, and the dealer had a platform that we rolled the bike on to, then lifted with a forklift and mounted right next to the bed, then rolled it right off. Easy as pie. ;)

I'd put the bike in the bed too. I feel like it'd be more stable in the bed than in the trailer, plus I'd be able to see if it happens to be leaning too much or it tips.
