There has been a sudden flurry of questions regarding who can and
can't set up shop during the R2SL event at PPIR next week. Please
read the following regarding Racing 2 Save Lives' policy on
admittance to our event for "non participating racers and vendors":

1) Vendors who are NOT R2SL event sponsors will NOT be allowed to
enter and set up at PPIR till 4pm on Friday, May 13th. It's not too
late to become a sponsoring vendor, contact us ASAP if you're
interested.

2) Participating Racers who also "sell products" will be restricted
from commerce until after 4pm on Friday, unless they pay the
exhibitor fee of $1500 or donate/raise pledges in excess of the $1500
exibitor fee. Read on for an explaination of why.

3) Racers who are NOT riding in the R2SL event but wish to drop off
their bikes and set up their garages early for the MRA weekend MAY do
so at any time, but will be required to pay the R2SL garage rental
fee just as if they were participating in the R2SL event. Otherwise
they'll have to wait till 4pm on Friday.

4) Due to the large turnout there likely won't be any garages
available for non-participants anyway on Friday afternoon, so there
will be no benefit to getting to PPIR earlier than 4pm 'cause you'll
just have to sit there in your vehicle till it clears out during the
last session.

Here's the logic behind this, and we're not trying to be hard-asses,
just fair:

If we let non-participating racers in earlier than 4pm, we'd need to
charge them for garage space (if there are any available) to be fair
to the R2SL participants who showed up for the 3-6 spot and HAD to
pay for their garage.

This will allow our participants to get maximum benefit out of their
R2SL experience without stumbling over or weaving thru a parade of
non-participating racers showing up during the event trying to set up
early for the MRA weekend.

Our sponsoring vendors who paid/donated stuff to be a part of our
event DESERVE to have their products and services highlighted without
the added competition of vendors who did not pay to be there. They
did this for the exposure as much as out of the goodness of their
hearts. We owe them a solid return on their investment if we want
them to return in the future.

Even though we're also on motorcycles, and some of us involved in
R2SL are also MRA Board members, this is NOT an MRA event. Please do
not collapse the two. If the MRA race weekend was following an SCCA
event held Wednesday through Friday - guaranteed the MRA racers
wouldn't be allowed access to the pits till every last SCCA racer had
left the facility. Please have some patience and cut us some slack.

This whole thing is for the benefit of children in need in Colorado.
If you aren't in a position to support our cause this year, then
that's fine, we understand and there are no hard feelings - but we
must restrict access to those who are. Membership, indeed, has its
privileges.

Now get ready to ride, and ride, and ride, and ride....!
