Hello All,

Does anyone know who might be able to replace my wornout upper/lower ball joints and tie rod ends? Maybe someone who does sidework or something?

The repair shop wants over $1,500 for the repair... can't afford to drop that kind of money. If it helps I will provide all the parts, I might decide to replace the front shocks at the same time.

Appreciate any input, but won't be able to do any of the work myself.

Thanks, Jeff

I've done it on my 01 Dakota, but there are some differences between the 99 and the 01 chassis. If you're up to doing it yourself and want some help let me know!

have you run the vin through the dealer? there was a massive recall/tsb on those

That was the upper ball joints on the 01-04 4wd Dakotas and Durangos. Doesn't cover lower ball joints or tie rod ends.
That said it's easy to check yours, if your upper ball joints are bolted on the recall has been done, if they are riveted on it hasn't.
