I'll be there too. The weather forecast keeps changing to lower temps, shouldn't be worse than GJ though...

The precipitation at least dropped off. Looks like it may be just cloudy and cold. Definitely bring the tire warmers.

$10 at front gate or some kind of pit entry gate? I'd like to come watch a round of this some time

brennahm
Sun May 1st, 2011, 04:43 PM
$10 at the front gate.

It peeves me because when I pay an entry fee, I pay to rent the track...why should I pay a gate fee to access the track I paid to rent?

Nonetheless, we're very lucky to have local venues like IMI and $10 is pretty cheap to go hang out with a bunch of guys and girls who like motorcycles and watch some pretty awesome racing. Hell, you can go out and stand pretty much anywhere you want to watch (don't tell anyone I told you that you could do it...;) )

It helps when someone *cough*bradhampton*cough* gifts me that position. I hate you for your speed.

we appreciate you guys making it out! if the sportsman grids stay this large i will implement the "DRZ Cup" for next season. sportsman and the DRZ Cup would grid like the A/B classes and be scored seperately.

still my favorite class to watch! just gotta watch those pesky aprilias!

Why elbows up?

nuts on the tank and elbows up...been a while since I threw a leg over a MXer, when I first started riding street, I rode like I was on a dirtbike...took me alittle to get out of that habit...

Trust me, I did not imply that it was only the bike. He flew by me like I was standing still. Mid corner. That usually doesn't mean faster bike.

my weekly cruises >60 miles down the slab to Denver to ride with you fools and 1000 mi weekend camping trips might have to be reconsidered...if I can get a job that pays even 30% of what I should be making, you better believe I'll be out there though

I am unable to make all of the rounds due to scheduling, but you can show up to IMI (July 31st or Sep 25th) and race mine! You're right, 1000 mile weekends would be pretty miserable on the DRZ.

thanks for the offer man...but I really don't like riding other people's rides...I would ride nervous (which is never good) and IF something happened, I wouldn't be able to afford to fix it...I'll try to come out and check it out next IMI round though for sure!

So how will the double header at HPR work, and will one class be $50? Can you race only the afternoon session? Will there be the usual beginner class for $35?

Eddie Sisneros
Tue May 3rd, 2011, 06:36 AM
its 2 seperate races on the same day. morning and afternoon races are payed for separately at morning sign up.

normal fees apply.

you can which ever you want or both.

I made the change that Dave suggested. Also installed some more slider friendly handguards...they are cracked and a bit rashed (is it bad mojo to race with parts that Sears crashed?). Still need peg and axel sliders. Hopefully, Epic will bring a variety of sizes to the track.

Ha, no man they are just broken in now like a good pair of boots.

looks like you got them fixed up pretty good.

actually those handguards have special history. they were bent at the last ever AMA Pro Supermoto event at Miller in 2009. I think they tore down that dirt section i went down in too.
