I want to make it clear that, in starting this thread, I was not trying to incite racial tensions...

As a soldier, I fought alongside people of every skin color and guess what? They all bleed red. In fact, while I have nothing against anybody who chooses to celebrate their culture, I personally try to teach my kids to not even talk about people in terms of skin color. Instead of saying "I met this really nice black/white/mexican/asian dude today" I ask them to say "I met a really nice dude today." I truly believe the world would be a better place if everyone had the same attitude.

That being said, the realist in me knows that racism isn't going away anytime soon and I really just saw an opportunity to have a laugh at the wheel contestant's ignorance...
He may not be a biggot. but he's obviously completely oblivious to how distasteful that particular letter choice was...

I failed to consider that some of those racist attitudes may be shared by some people here and I genuinely hope those people eventually let go of that hateful crap they hold in their souls.

Final point:
Bigotry comes in many forms. The grumpy old man who lives next to me that thinks all mexicans are thieves? Hopeless racist. The young dark-skinned people who think I'm a racist just because I'm white? Just as bad, IMO. Do not assume that just cause you are a biggot I am too.
