Starts fine when in neutral... Second I depress the clutch and pop it in to gear, stalls. Also won't start when in Gear with the clutch depressed. Help?

I'm no expert, but it sounds like the clutch switch is bad.

Kickstand switch more likely.

Yup I agree with Wrider. Check that the kickstand switch is both there and hooked up. I'm not 100% sure, but on my 929 the sensor hooks up to the harness under the tank with a green connector.

What he said ^^^

Look for a little switch that would be in contact with the kickstand when the kickstand is in the up position. Take it off the bike. Cut both wires coming out the back of it. Strip some insulation off of each wire and twist them together. Start the bike and see if the problem is resolved.

If yes, then your kickstand switch was bad, which happens a lot. You can either replace it (the new one will come with a plug on the end of the wires that you can plug into the wiring harness after you trace the old wires) or simply seal up the wires as is and call it good.

But if you do that you lose the opportunities to look like a dumb ass as you put it in gear with the side stand down ;)

It's OK, I make up for it by getting my shoelace caught on the rearset and falling over at a stoplight

Put some high heels on those and I can think of a few women who would look great in them!

It was the kickstand switch... wiring frayed... and I did have the kickstand down **dumbass** so I got the wiring replaced/shielded, and read the owners manual!

Thanks!
