Dude, why don't you do this on a Saturday or Sunday? I did most of those roads today and had a great time. Most guys probably have to work on Wednesdays. If you were to do it on the weekend, I would be there with ya. Something to consider hopefully.

I do have to say that LEO was out in force today.

They have been ramping it up on the weekends, from what I've seen the last month or so. The summer is a busy time for them, esp up in the canyons/mountains. The farther you get from metro areas, the better though.

So this will be an easy pace ride. Noobs welcome! Devil's Gulch is not a death trap as long as you take it easy... :) Got at least one person coming, one or two more would make for a nice group.

I was seriously considering going, but it turns out there is going to be a group ride in the springs that day too. If you guys weren't so far away I'd do both and ride all day, since the springs ride is later.

All I know is I got my bike working. I now have roadside assistance and I want to ride!

Vellos
Tue Jun 7th, 2011, 12:32 AM
But have you been on these roads? ;)

BlueRanger
Tue Jun 7th, 2011, 12:34 AM
Who me? No, that's why I was considering riding all the way up there before the Springs ride popped up.

May come out for this, since I have a reason to be in Denver tomorrow evening. Now I can just make it an all day affair. I would just have to be in Lakewood by 4.

I will let you know in the morning, I have to ensure I am not needed at work, which is more then not likely, but every now again they will randomly call me in.

Hitting up Trail Ridge tomorrow... I'll wave if I see you on my way back in to town.

I figured a nice 300 mile ride will be a good warm up for my 700 mile ride to Yellowstone on Thursday :D

How long do you think this ride would take?

OUTLAWD
Tue Jun 7th, 2011, 06:00 PM
I'll try to get my manual CCT on tonight, and I'll meet up in boulder, but I''ll split off at SP or Rist. and my speedo is broke...so if I end up going too slow...just pass me

and Mr. Xtremist...you hit the nail on the head...riding during the weekends is still fun, but the roads are littered with pedal bikes, po, tourists, etc.

I will try to make it. But I now have to be in Aurora by 3, so I don't want to damper the ride.

Yea, I want to come out for the ride, sounds to be a pretty BA route. I just can't be late. I may still putt up and do some of the ride and just break off when it is close to the time I have to take off.

Boulder start eh?

Hmm, that'd mean getting up early enough to haul ass out there just to start...

Maybe I'll just try to intersect you guys somewhere ;)

Heh, True.

It's prob just under 2hrs from my house, so I'd have to be out the door by 9, which is probably doable if I'm not up until 5am ;)

Mainly it's just slabbing it out there that always makes me cringe.

...plus, I'm a lazy rider... :p

Vellos
Tue Jun 7th, 2011, 10:58 PM
Concabar if the ride is running a little late you can slab it back instead of going down the two reservoirs on the return route. But really it shouldn't take too long if the stops are short.

I'm still futzing around, haven't left yet, so I won't make it.

I'll probably head to MoCo and up to Evergreen or Squaw
