So here is the deal. I work nights at my university tech desk and most of the time we have no customers so you guys can have my help free. Since I am working though, in the rare chance I get a customer I would have to pay more attention to them.

Hours until July 3rd: Tuesday, Thursday or Sunday 7pm to midnight.

I'm not the best, but I do solve problems fairly well. Here is a list of what I can help you with:

Software:
-Installation
-Drivers
-Virus removal
-OS reinstallation
-Some data recovery from computers that wont boot.
-Some data recovery from a hard drive outside of a computer(text me ahead of time).
-Wireless issues (depending, text me).
-I can generally show you how to use many computer functions. Or just chat with ya.
-I can generally speed up your slow, bogged and bloated computer :D

Hardware:
-RAM install.

Shady:
- I can show you how to download stuffs, games, video, music, races.
- I also have a few real keys for vista and XP that I will gladly give away if needed.

Tip are accepted since I am poor and need to put more into my bike :P, but there is no obligation in the slightest. I just want to help you out while I sit here bored out of my mind :P

I am located at the location listed below. It is the Driscoll North building. Just ask for the UTS helpdesk on the 2nd floor and when you find me(Brad) mention you are from CSC :)

For the fan not coming on there are a few options, BIOS software update, spray it out with air, run enough programs so the computer generates enough heat (joke), or check the hardware. I can do all except for checking the hardware.

As for the popup, it really could be anything. I can probably do something about it, but who knows what its going to be. Post the message?

I can surly help you install Photoshop, considering it has the specifications needed.

I suck with Linux really, not too shabby with Mac, but I am best with Windows above Win95 :P

Ummmmm uhhhh HP what?

Huh?

I downloaded Avast, was working fine, rebooted, and now get a blue screen of death every time. Looks like I'll be back this week to see ya!

**I started it in safe mode and did a system restore, got it back running again. Wonder why it doesn't like Avast? also tried to download XPservice pack but it wouldn't complete the download. i'm just going to put my Power commander and wideband software on there and see what happens.
