I'm looking for information about anything having to do with snowboard racing. There's got to be some kind of league or something around here. I'm not impressed by all the 100 yard super easy courses that I see all over the place.

I'd like to maybe get into it this coming winter if I can find a decent group that does it.

Looking for slolom or boardercross info plz

If it was me, i'd hit up ABasin or Loveland to see what they host/support. I don't know of any clubs that sponsor this, but I do know of these ski areas setting up runs for the US Ski Team, etc.

At the very least they could get you looking in the right direction.

Check out the United States of America Snowboard Association, typically referred to as The USASA (http://www.usasa.org/index.php). I used to run in the Mid-Atlantic series back east when I was in high school and college - and back when Burton still made race decks. A lot of elite riders made their first mark in local USASA competitions, and it's still a proving ground for up and coming talent.

As far as I know, they still run slalom and giant slalom races. Locally, it seems as if the Rocky Mountain or Aspen series may be your best bets.

I don't know what the events are like now, but when I was doing it in the late 90's there was always a regular crew that showed up at every race, and everyone got to know each other well and socialized off the mountain. The organizers were cool and laid back, but when it came down to the competition - everyone had their game faces on and it took it very seriously.

Hmmm... now you got me thinkin' about blowing the dust off those race plates I got in my closet.
