Forecast a week out, but seems typical Colorado weather.

Thursday: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny, with a high near 83.

Just hoping for no wind, those estimates come in 4 days prior to the actual day.

Hi everyone! I might make this my first trip to IMI, got my endorsement last year, have almost 6000 miles on my ninja 250 now, and I just finished putting together a Harbor Freight trailer. Where do you park a trailer at IMI? Is that also where you hang out when the karts are running?

Matty
Thu Jun 16th, 2011, 08:20 PM
What would you call them?

3 guys on their bikes. They had their lids and jackets on. They weren't pushing their limits, they just didn't know how to hold their lines.

I was just wondering why you called them Squids?

Bueller
Thu Jun 16th, 2011, 08:44 PM
I wouldn't call them squid even though they pulled up with no gear on at all (it was in the chase car), but since I don't care how you dress to ride I can only hope they don't learn the lesson the hard way.
The one on the yellow R6 was actually getting around pretty good after the 250 caught and passed him, he passed me back up the back straight and then did a decent job of keeping me behind him. He is going to lay that bike down if he pushes it much harder with his poor body position. He had that thing layed over too far from being crossed up.

The other 2 were learning track riding and I didn't notice any problems with their lines except they weren't always a good line, but they were easy to get around.

They were at a track wearing possibly the best gear they own, working on riding in a controlled environment. Doesn't sound too squiddy to me. George you should have liaisoned for us, they coulda been the coolest newest noobs of the CSC.

they pulled up with no gear on at all

It's not like I started shit with them or anything. Just stating my opinion about their character. I'm sure some sportbike riders find me squiddy, despite the full leathers, just because of the speeds I carry on the street. :loop:

Vellos
Thu Jun 16th, 2011, 09:58 PM
I was mainly annoyed with the orange guy. I'm not too comfortable yet passing people in the corner, especially since his lines were f---ed so it was sketch to pass while exiting the corners too. Then every time it straightened out he'd pin it and grab serious brake before the next turn.

Zach929rr
Thu Jun 16th, 2011, 10:34 PM

Lambeau had a friend there in jeans too, but she (like I) was there working with someone and was focused on learning - not trying to push it to shave milliseconds. The guys in question seemed like they were competing with everyone else on the track, checking their mirrors frantically when you'd get behind them, and not focusing on their own lines/abilities.

And the street speed things applies to must of us canyoneers.

Anyway, it was a lovely day and we all had a good time!
