We are in need of 11 folks to man the flags for the June 26th Chicane day at High Plains Raceway east of Byers! This is an all day shift, on-track from 8-5 (arrival time at the track is 6:30am for all corner crew) with an hour break for lunch in the middle. We pay $100 per worker and give you a good lunch.

You need to be 18 or older and physically able to stand for a while, otherwise anyone can do it. No previous experience is necessary and we'll train you there, though I will give some preference to previous Chicane workers.

If you can firmly commit to working, please reply here and let me know! I will PM all workers later on with full details, etc.

I would do this but I am riding this time :applause:

This is definitely the best corner working opportunity out there.
I was trying to talk my wife into working it again and putting her $ towards my track day but she wouldn't go for that.

Have you cornerworked at HPR before?

FYI I won't be assigning corners until the day of, most likely. Where people go will depend on experience levels and more or less what my mood is that day. I do accept bribery, and enjoy custard filled donuts and coffee. ;)

Yes I did last year on #9. Custard it is!

And corner worked for the Rocky Mountain Region Porsche Club prior.

5 is a really good one, watching the fasties go through there last year learned me a lot about that corner. And it has a great view of 4,6 and 7. Not much in the way of people exiting the track unexpectedly though.

...And we're full! Thanks Glenn for the help, just let your workers know to show up at 6:30 and come find me @ the gazebo since I can't PM them here. They already know the drill for dress code and such.

DRKATO added you in, not sure on the tent thing - you will have to ask Glenn about that. I'm all for it personally since I know you won't be late that way. :)

Drift - you just missed a spot, but I will keep you on the reserve list in case we have a cancellation if that's OK.

You are welcome to stay outside the gate on the entry road, but there will not be an overnight gate attendant so no one can stay in the paddock, sorry

UPDATE:

There will be night security at the track on Saturday - If you would like to camp in the paddock the night before please follow these simple rules:

1) Please don't do anything dumb. If you think what you're about to do MIGHT be dumb, it is. Don't do that.

2) DO NOT arrive before 6:00 PM. Another group has the track rented on Saturday. The paddock is NOT AVAILABLE TO US IN ANY WAY before 6:00 PM on Saturday.

3) Please DO encourage your friends to sign up and ride with us on Sunday.

4) The track itself is CLOSED. Please do not enter the track surface for any reason before we go hot on Sunday.

Thank you

Scott

Is there a rule against bringing a camera? Not to be occupying my time taking pictures, but to have it auto-shooting from the station.

I'll be driving due to the flat tire on my bike. If anyone wants a ride let me know - anyone between Boulder and I70 East is fine.
