Tickets go on sale Thursday.. or you can sign up to volunteer and drink for FREE! (FYI - I am not affiliated, so don't ask me any questions, but volunteering and/or attending this event is FUN, FUN, FUN!)

Save the dates: September 29th - October 1st, 2011!
You don't want to miss the Great American Beer Festival!

The Beer Festival and the Mile High Tappers need volunteers. This
year the Festival is September 29th – October 1st (Thu. - Sat).

There are four sessions (Thursday, Friday, & Saturday nights, and
Saturday afternoon). You are required to volunteer at least two
shifts. Volunteering for at least two shifts gets you a t-shirt and a
tasting cup. If you work three shifts you will receive a comp ticket
for this year or next depending on the shifts you work. There is a
new change which will allow you to get a comp ticket working just two
shifts, if you volunteer for Thursday and Saturday nights, this
combination counts as three shifts which will qualify you for a comp
ticket for next year.

Don’t delay, there is a limit on the number of volunteers we can
accept. If you wait too long, you may miss out. Volunteer
registration will close as soon as the GABF tickets sell out, last
year that date was July 28th, the sooner you get in to register, the
better chance you have to grab a spot.

Please go to the web site below to sign up. Indicate the days you
wish to work under: Brew Crew – (this is the pouring team). Where it
asks for “Team or Captain you would like to work for”, Type: "MILE
HIGH TAPPERS".

I volunteered in 2002- it was a blast and a fun experience, especially since 7 of my other friends were volunteering at the same time, too.

With that said, not going to do it again. :D

I volunteered for this a few different times and had a ton of fun, even though I don't drink, I am easily entertained by dumb, drunk people!  :drink:

Looks like tickets are @$60 :wtf:  (not sure if that's true) but I will check again on Thursday to make sure and update the 1st post.

PS - Don't volunteer to work SECURITY because you will NOT be able to drink during your shift. Volunteer for Tapper.

Thursday and friday nights are best nights to go if you have a choice. saturday they start running out of the popular or really good beers as they only bring enough for the weekend or what they estimate will be enough. the brewers usually dont want to bring anything back with them. i wonder if PBR will be the last one standing again this year lol
