greetings to all interested,

this saturday meeting at Panera's lot at 0800, with a departure nlt 0830 (a northern meeting area can be added if there are those interested...)

the route will probably be I-76 to Sterling then north through Peetz to Sidney, probably taking about 6 hours; the departure time has been picked to maximize the light of day and warmth (plus beating the afternoon rain...)

fuel up before!!!!

thanx,
henry

HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DENVER CO
1015 AM MST THU NOV 21 2002

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTHEAST AND NORTH CENTRAL
COLORADO.

.DAY ONE...(11/21)

NO HAZARDOUS WEATHER IS EXPECTED TODAY. A LARGE HIGH PRESSURE
SYSTEM WILL REMAIN IN CONTROL OF THE WEATHER WITH SUNNY SKIES AND
MILD TEMPERATURES.

.SPOTTER CALL TO ACTION STATEMENT...

SPOTTER ACTIVATION WILL NOT BE NEEDED TODAY AND TONIGHT.

.DAYS TWO TO SEVEN...

:!: A SIGNIFICANT CHANGE IN THE WEATHER IS STILL ANTICIPATED ON SATURDAY
AS A CANADIAN COLD FRONT MOVES INTO NORTHEAST COLORADO AND AN UPPER
LEVEL TROUGH MOVES OVER THE REGION. ACROSS THE PLAINS...A COLD
FRONT WILL MOVE PUSH SOUTH DURING THE DAY WITH UPSLOPE FLOW
DEVELOPING IN ITS WAKE. SNOW SHOWERS ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP FROM
NORTH TO SOUTH ACROSS THE AREA...INCREASING IN COVERAGE AND
INTENSITY LATE SATURDAY AND SATURDAY NIGHT. THE HEAVIEST SNOW WILL
LIKELY OCCUR IN AND NEAR THE FOOTHILLS AND ALONG THE PALMER DIVIDE.

A BRIEF BREAK IN THE SNOW IS EXPECTED ON SUNDAY AS THE INITIAL
SYSTEM TRACKS TO THE EAST...BUT IT WILL REMAIN COLD WITH SCATTERED
FLURRIES. SNOW SHOWERS WILL REDEVELOP LATE SUNDAY AS ANOTHER
SYSTEM DROPS IN FROM THE NORTHWEST.

AS A RESULT...A CHANCE OF SNOW IS AGAIN POSSIBLE ACROSS THE ENTIRE
REGION LATE SUNDAY AND MONDAY...ESPECIALLY ALONG THE FOOTHILLS AND
PALMER DIVIDE AREAS WHERE THE UPSLOPE FLOW WILL BE GREATEST. THE
TROUGH SHOULD BE EAST OF THE AREA TUESDAY...WITH DRY CONDITIONS
MAKING A RETURN. TEMPERATURES HOWEVER WILL REMAIN COLD.

Jeff,
We'll meet you in Hudson. Only I don't know if we can make it by 9am leaving the Ranch @ 8:30. Is there a particular meeting spot or will you just be hanging out like a street corner girl waiting for us to blow on by?

Harry,

I need to be back in Boulder no later than 4:30 PM I have a feeling that that would mean turning around the minute I get to the front door of Cabelas :x I don't know now if I can make it under those time constraints. If anything I'd have to leave even earlier to get the ride in and make it back for a previous enguagement that slipped my mind as of the earlier post. Better pass on this one ( ) .......... #@%!

You guys are picking a snowy weekend to be out on I-76 (right where the weather's supposed to kick in from I think)...

If you still go, be safe, personally I'll be at home nice and warm.

Harry, Henry and company,

Depending on the weather forecast in the morning, temperature and how motivated I am, I may go with you.

If I go, I will meet you somewhere along I-76 - probably where 104th crosses I-76 or north of there. I will be waiting and watching on the shoulder. I will find you. If you don't see me, it means I didn't make it.

Harry, are you going to be on the Yamaha or Harley - so I know what to watch for - although there probably won't be too many bikes out tomorrow.
