I just bought a 2007 kawasaki ZZR 600 and I want to make it run. I was seeing what I needed and if anybody would be able to point me in the right direction whether it be new exhaust or air filter, etc. My bike really lags between 1000 rpm and 8 rpm. And I would like the 0-60 time to be faster so if anybody could help me out I would be greatly appreciative. also anything to make my bike look sick because its all stock. Or where I could buy some cheap aftermarket parts.

Sprockets....
Drop a tooth(or two up front) and add a tooth to the rear for
more botton end (you will lose some top end).

If you're only at 8rpm, you're probably lugging the engine ;)

I had a 2000 ZX-6R, basically the same bike. Ricky's right - 8000RPM and you're just starting to get it going. Check out the dyno chart:

It could benefit from some rejetting and an aftermarket pipe, sure, but remember that a 600 here in the mountains is not going to be a rocket until you get ABOVE 8000RPM. Ya gotta wind it up, son!

+1 on the sprocket change. I've always gone to 520 w/ +2 rear, -1 front. Both on my 600RR and the 1000RR.
