This was announced a bit ago but I don't know the reasons. AMA Pro Road Racing Round 8 has been canceled at VIR. Release:

Long story I guess but the bottom line was the track was going to lose money on the event so they pulled out. That's what I heard anyway?
The track owners did not renew the contract with the previous promoters and thought they would do it themselves. Guess it didn't go so well?
