Reupholstery....

Looking for a new seat for my 01 SV650S. Called Steels and they said they didn't have this seat so i've been looking for a cheap replacement or am thinking about going to a reupholstery shop but didn't want to spend much more than $50. Any suggestions?

Big +1 on Alex. Just picked up my seat (for the SV, not the Duc) from her last night: it looks great and fits me perfectly now. I spent a lot less, too.

I'll write a proper review with pics later.

I have a set of Sargent seats for the 1stGen SV650 that I'm selling. I don't have pictures of 'em yet, but if you're interested I could get some tonight and post 'em up.

I know you said you were looking for a cheap replacement option, and I'd be selling these for $150 (front and back). BUT...they're phenomenally worth it. I HATED the stock seat on my SV, and promptly picked these up and never looked back. Extremely comfy even after several hours.

Parting them out after wrecking the bike, but the seats didn't get touched.

Can do. It won't be 'til later this evening...I don't get off work until 7pm, home around 7:20. I'll try and get 'em up by 8:00.

Here's the promised pics (a tad later than I expected...sorry). You'll notice the two closeups of the only scuff on the driver seat, right at the front left corner. It's barely noticeable unless you just "know" that it's there, but nonetheless there it is.

$150 is for the set. I loved these seats, and I was friggin' thrilled when I went to test ride the Triumph I bought and it had Sargents on it already. Absolutely the best thing I ever bought for my SV.
