So a few of us that used to ride IMI together, decided to head there to shake off some dust....along with a couple of newer fellas. Had a lot of fun, was nice riding with "familiars" and along with a few others...

With Dave and Renata out there, we had a conversation while observing them 2:
ME: watch dave will fly by anyone out there, but not Renata, he will pass her "gently".
ME: Ummmm, I guess not, just flew by her haha.

That last one reminds me of a picture one of my friends took at one of our football games in high school after we scored a touchdown. The referee was signalling a TD and there was a player hidden behind him except for his arms also signalling TD. It looked like the ref had 4 arms. :lol:

Good being out there with everyone. My knee seemed to come out of it ok, so I'm looking forward to getting back to racing at the end of the month.

Hopefully someone got some pic's of Renata, she drug her first hard part (kickstand switch). That makes it a milestone event for her.
Now she will be forced to start leaning off the bike a bit more.:)

I'm always happy to help people who want to learn, and I could see improvement happening quickly with your body positioning and lines. Keep at it. As I told you on Saturday, don't worry about going fast. Concentrate on doing it right and fast will happen naturally.

I followed her around for a while and I thought she was doing really well. Lean off more and tighten up the apexes a bit and she'll be ready for number plates.

Thanks Yusuke, so far I am really liking how it felt out there. Just need a little more seat time to completely trust the bike like the old gixxer. But for a stock bike me riding it, with stock suspension settings, just tires, I really was impressed with the way it handled IMI.

I was definitely the limiting factor hahaha.....

I've been pokey at getting these up, sorry. Settings were a little off on the camera, motion blur is a little non existent. Oh well, working the rust out.

Anyway, a few years ago Slo always complained that I took too many pics and then would only post 3, I've decided to post them all. 200+ to be exact, enjoy. Careful what you wish for Slo.

Some people at the track were asking about pics, if you see one you want, PM me with the file name and I'll get a full size one to you.

Bueller, there are a few of Renata. Not that many, but I can make a point of getting some of her in the coming weekends. I need to get back out for more practice to get the camera skills up to par again.

Looks like a blast! Whens the next time you guys are planning on heading up there? I would love to try out that track before commiting to HPR with no on track experiance at all. Plus I think all my gear is good for IMI, not so much at HPR yet. Do they still do open lapping on the weekends up there?

For asphault track, looks like everyday is open except aug 28th which is a cart race and also Sept 25th for the supermoto race.

Also note that the day before each event will be very crowded since everyone will be practicing out there.

Not so sure you want to take that BMW on the dirt section too much :lol:

But the asphalt would be good for it. If you did want to race it you would be eligible for sportsman, and the asphalt only class would be good to run.

Unless you are trying to meet up with a group of people I would try to avoid weekends there until later this fall. Weekdays are the ticket.

Best to call ahead and confirm track availability on Sundays because not everything is listed, RMMiniMoto has races they don't list on the site.
