Apparently America isn't the only country that doesn't properly educate it's youth:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-14458424

Just to sum up:

We riot, burn down buildings, loot the local shops and it's the conservatives fault.
Business owners are rich (and therefore deserve to have their possessions destroyed).
"Free" means whatever we can steal from people that actually worked for it.

Bloody awesome.

So there justification is stating that apparently in the UK if your not rich you cant do what your want and they wanted to prove they can do what they want?

In america people riot after a championship of some sort is won and everyone is drunk as a skunk. Not saying its right nor is is justified but at least its not being done just to prove a stupid ass point that makes no sense!

These are not protests, it children and teens. Criminals en masse. Those seeking liberty generally have a complaint.

Great article summing up the state of youth in Britain. It's an opinion piece but, I think, has quite a bit of truth in it. Tad long.

Obviously listening to the audio is less important then making a personal attack. Perhaps you should take your own advice.

A bit verbose, but I would tend to agree with it.

My favorite comment:

What frightens me is that I probably live a life of 'absolute futility' as you put it above. I work, I pay tax, I pay my bills. I don't knowingly break the law. So in the eyes of the scum looters, I am a drone, programmed to pay their benefits. Who is the idiot, here? Eventually those with a work ethic will retire or die out. Who is going to pay for this pond life then?

You may have to go to Gregorovitch.

Good read, wish we still had capital punishment. Take some lashings and be on your way no jail time, no incarceration. Would save money as well. I've noticed a lot of people I know who are or have been on welfare don't have degrees and have poor work ethic. Coincidence? I don't think so, get rid of the hand outs.

Ummm... I think you mean corporal punishment.

Although you're not far off. With years upon years of death row cases tied up with appeals, it's amazing the prison's ever get to empty out a cell.

Yeah sorry, brain fart. There are no repercussions now; I knew growing up if I misbehaved I would get a paddle, wooden spoon, or belt. Today people would claim you were abusing your child. I'll tell you this, it works lol. I see it in the Army too across the board, don't like it.

Do you know that basic trainees get stress cards? If the drill instructors are yelling at someone and they hold it up, they have to stop. WTF is that? When you're being shot at or your job asks a lot of you, you won't be able to rely on a gimmick to save you.

Start shooting into the crowd with a fully auto .50 cal with plenty of ammo, and the rioting WILL stop.

Oh man, I remember the wooden spoon. My mom broke a few spoons and rulers off on my ass. I only got the belt once.

Sometimes my mom would use the "choose your own adventure" method where I could choose between a spanking or being grounded.

Choice A) 30-60 seconds of terror and pain but on your way after it was over.

Choice B) 1-2 weeks of boredom - aka "mental pain" ;)

Life was so much simpler as a kid :slap:

Close to what i was thinking.

Shoot one or two looters, it will stop or at least move on to the next block. Same thing would work on the Mexican border. No need to build more walls. Build some towers and let some of our militarys best go to work. :sniper:

Now when I went through Marine Boot in '74, the DI's were pissing and moaning because they had to tone down the cussing :)

From http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2011/aug/11/london-riots-davidcameron

"Why am I surprised that these young people behave destructively, "mindlessly", motivated only by self-interest? How should we describe the actions of the city bankers who brought our economy to its knees in 2010? Altruistic? Mindful? Kind? But then again, they do wear suits, so they deserve to be bailed out, perhaps that's why not one of them has been imprisoned. And they got away with a lot more than a few fucking pairs of trainers." -Russell Brand
