06-07 CBR1000RR stator issue?

I got a strange letter from Honda today letting me know there was a possible stator issue on the '06-'07 CBR1000RR. What was weird was the letter indicated they would extend the warranty by 6 months but that time is long gone and it appears this is just an opportunity for those who paid for the repair DURING that extended timeframe to get reimbursed. But at the same time the letter mentioned the cutoff date for the reimbursement was Aug 8, 2011. I do have an extended warranty so maybe that played a role but it was definitely not your normal 'thanks for buying a Honda' letter.

So, anyone else with a 06-07 1000RR have a stator issue / get a letter recently?

I havent had any issues but only had the bike since april and it now has 7k had only 2 when i got it

Had to replace mine at 10k miles on my 07, it has19k now. Have not checked my mail in the last 2 days but will after work. A coworker with an 06 got his letter yesterday and he said the letter extends his warranty to 7 years.
