Java - Front End Developer. PM me if you are interested.
§ Work on our application, which is a state-of-the-art Software-as-a-Service based web application
§ We use cutting edge technology, with a heavy slant toward open source software. The primary use of our product is stream video and audio. We do this using RTSP and RTP. Our backend is JBOSS and mysql. Our front end is heavy on javascript & JSPs. Everything runs on Centos. Builds are automated with spacewalk and puppet. You will not be bored here.
§ What kind of projects would you work on? We're in the middle of rewriting our application using a service oriented architecture while at the same time reworking the UI. As a result, you get to work on both front end UI work (Javascript, HTML, CSS) and back end service tier work (Java, Spring MVC, JBoss, SOAP, open source libraries).
§ We release our application twice a month, as a result, you will write code that immediately gets used by real people and doesn't get put on a shelf. You'll get that wonderful feeling that the hard work you just put in last week helped a customer the following month.
§ We collaborate, iterate and release frequently. We don't get bogged down in process and politics. For some, this is uncomfortable; if you're the type that can't cope with rapid change, you need not apply.
§ Be part of an exciting and growing company that is reshaping an industry.
§ Everyone at the company is an owner; you will be a part of our equity sharing plan.

What we need from you
§ High Expectations. We are a team of highly qualified, highly motivated thinkers and doers. You will be expected to perform at a high level, to own up to your mistakes, and to grow personally, professionally, and as part of the team. We will support you, but you will be the driver.
§ You will have several years experience working in a fast-paced agile environment, ideally for a SaaS company.
§ You will have significant experience with JAVA and JSPs.
§ You'll have multiple years experience with Javascript based UIs; experience with jquery is a plus.
§ You will understand how to develop Java services using Tomcat or JBOSS, Spring, Hibernate, WebWork/Struts 2.
§ You'll know linux cold; if you don't, please don't apply.
§ You'll have an idea when to use JDBC vs. hibernate.
§ You'll be very familiar with HTML, CSS2/3
§ Team experience using ANT, JUnit, TeamCity and Subversion.
