Candidate will be responsible for back-office for client who has customer services through the web, dial-in, mobile and television. Client has a wide footprint and the right candidate should have broad experience with specialities in some areas, exposure in others, as described. Primarily this is more .net but candidate should be OK supporting some legacy applications that are required to sustain the environment. This is a role that is about 20% production support and 80% new development.

The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for designing and implementing applications and major subsystems based on requirements as well as providing technical leadership through project management responsibilities and collaboration with other members of the technology team.

. Work as a member of a highly technical team delivering outstanding quality software systems and components in a heterogeneous technology environment.
. Autonomous self-starter will take initiative to drive the design and development of product deliverables using agile development methodologies.
. Ability to troubleshoot production problems and identify and deliver solutions quickly.
. Quality oriented work practices to ensure high quality, well documented deliverables.
. Contribute significantly to solutions that deliver an excellent end-to-end customer experience with a high degree of compliance with business and technical requirements.
. Research of new technology tools and integrate into projects as applicable
. Work with product owners to define and refine requirements
. Ability to provide second level support to a 24/7 production environment on rotation basis

. Excellent C# and .NET development skills and specific experience with the ASP.NET application development is a requirement. Experience with WCF, WPF and other .NET frameworks is a plus.
. Strong C++ skills are highly desirable even if not current. Exposure to technologies like the Win32 API, COM/DCOM, RPC, multi-threaded programming and the C++ STL is desirable.
. Experience with web development technologies like HTML, CSS, XML, JavaScript etc. is a plus
. Solid understanding of relational database technology and SQL syntax is required.
. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related disciple; Masters preferred.
. 2+5 years C++ development experience in a Win32 development environment
. 2+ years experience with C# and .NET technologies covering v2.0 and v3.0 of the frameworks
. 2+ years experience with web related technologies like SOAP, XML, JavaScript, Ajax etc.
. 2+ years experience with database centric applications and SQL language development
. 57+ years overall development experience building medium to large, distributed applications
