Meeting time: KSU 7am
Meeting location: Valero corner store/Diamond Shamro (http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&gs_upl=&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.&biw=1366&bih=575&um=1&ie=UTF-8&q=diamond+shamrock+north+academy+blvd&fb=1&gl=us&hq=diamond+shamrock+north+academy+blvd&hnear=0x8713412ea1e6d22b:0x418eeb92f5e86b13,Colora do+Springs,+CO&ei=MF5NToiaFsGysAKl94ncBg&sa=X&oi=local_group&ct=image&sqi=2&ved=0CAQQtgM)ck gas station. 8105 North Academy Blvd. Make sure to go to the one furthest north on Academy by Voyager and the on-ramp to I-25. For some reason my hyperlink wants to pull up two of them - one north and one a bit south on Academy.

Meet with Northies at MoCo - will superslab it. Expect speed limit speeds on the I and moderate speeds to Deckers.

If you can, please plan on being at the Walnut room afterwards to celebrate David's life, and an opportunity to get super cool stuff from an auction, incl a signed Jason Pridmore helmet!

Since I'm leading or sweeping, I'm leaving a bit earlier, like around 0630ish, and going through Deckers to clear the route. If anyone is interested in joining me, post up and we can meet up somewhere.

I'll be either with the I-25 group or CZ.

One thing about Deckers that early in the morning is the light. The sun comes up and is shaded by the mountains/trees which cast all sorts of light shadows on the road and makes it kind of difficult to see the lines and judge distance (at least for me).

On another note, Deckers at 7AM on a Saturday reminds of of the post-zombie world apocalypse. All the doors are locked and nobody's home.

That's a great time to ride, imo. No one else is on the road, it's just me, the road, and some nice tunes. The sun's rays dance through the trees and I just take my time, enjoying the moment.
