Since I know we have some fitness buffs on here, I thought I'd ask. Has anyone tried this TRX suspension training? I've heard it's hard as hell. Wondering if I can rig my own system instead of paying $180 for a few straps. thoughts/feedback?

Yes. I used this quite a bit during my physical therapy while recovering from my back surgery. I absolutely love it, but can't quite bring myself to fork out that kinda cash for a set of straps. I am sure that I could make something similar for a very reasonable price. Having said that, I still have not made a set. Now that I am thinking about it, there is no reason why I shouldn't.

Great! Now I have another project to work on . . . I hate you, Sean!

I was actually thinking about using some soft tiedown straps. Not the rachet straps, but more like this. Link (http://www.discountramps.com/lashing-strap.htm) I've never seen the actual straps that they sell with the package, but I assume this would work. Maybe then get a little PVC if you need a handle? If you come across a better option, let me know.

I'm kind of curious about the vid. I'd like to see all of the different options they lay out for you.

I went to a gym in Jersey that had a few of these setup for people that wanted to use them.

Awesome workout it's great on the upper body and the different styles to use them are amazing!

Its only hard if you have no upper body strength to start with in my opinion but if you already have it then it wont bee too hard!

I was thinking more like this >LINK< (http://www.uscargocontrol.com/Ratchet-Straps-Tie-Downs/Motorcycle-Straps/1X6-Cam-Buckle-Strap-W-S-Hooks). Two of these style straps with something to hold the ends together would work just fine. They would also be easy to adjust . . .

That would work too. Seems pretty easy to do. I was thinking soft straps because they are pretty easy to adjust also. Now I just have to figure out a spot to hang it where Angela won't yell at me. Maybe I'll start looking for one of those videos...
