We are in need of 11 folks to wave the flags for the Sept 5th (Labor Day) Chicane day at High Plains Raceway east of Byers, and one for the front gate! This is an all day shift, track hot from 8-5 (arrival time at the track is 6:30am for all corner crew) with an hour break for lunch in the middle. We pay $100 per worker and give you a good lunch.

You need to be 18 or older and physically able to stand for a while, otherwise anyone can do it. No previous experience is necessary and we'll train you there, though I will give some preference to previous Chicane workers.

If you can firmly commit to working, please reply here and let me know! I will PM all workers later on with full details, etc.

I'm in! I'll have a 2nd with me that's not part of the boards if you have room for her too. Maybe next season I'll have the gear and can actually be ON the track...

For anybody who has never done this, it's actually pretty fun. You get the best seat in the house and get to watch everybody fly by, only a few feet away. It's pretty cool. Plus, if you've never been to the track, it's a great introduction. Besides, You get $100, a free lunch and you get to hang out with people going fast on motorcycles, what could be better?

If I were going to be in town, I would sign up in a minute.

Definitely for those who haven't done this before and those who have already....it's a blast watching everyone come through the turns. Notice all the different styles/techniques.

For those of you planning on riding, why not recruit some of your friends and family to come get paid while you play too? :eyebrows:

You're in the wrong line Mr. Slo, this is the Chicane day. That by the way you should be riding.

Fuggit I am in, possible +1 or 2 but for now just count me in. Can't afford to ride in it so I'll corner work.

EDIT - count me in for corner working at hpr, not colfax.

I was considering riding the bike to there from Boulder, but haven't made a solid decision on that just yet.

I rode there when I cornerworked for the supermoto race. It was a bit chill in the early am and not bad for the ride home after 10 hours standaing in the sun. I was happy to be home though. Lol
The nice thing about chicane is the schedule doesn't run over, so you are done @ 8 hours.

I'll probably ride out 2up, the only part that sucks is riding directly into the sun both ways!

All workers should have received a PM with details. If you are bringing a +1, it's your responsibility to get that information to them (and get me theirs). Thanks!

Quite well, and love those Pirellis, guess it's only afraid of heights--if it'd run like it did today every day I turned the key I'd totally love that bike. ;)
