That title should read "Printer question for really good computer people", but that was too long and no one would read it. Plus, all your filters are set for "hard core" in re porn, so I figured the title would bubble up to the top...

I have two computers - both Dells, one lap top, one desk top. Laptop running Vista 32, desktop with Win7. There is a USB printer involved - a Lexmark 4500 series. If you start with the printer drivers not installed and plug in the printer, both systems see the printer and download/install the printer. Then, when you try to print, both printers give a "unable to do two way commmunication" type error and don't print. I brought a Canon i850 into the mix, just for the fun of it. Same thing - installs fine, won't print; two way error... I have uninstalled the drivers, the print software, even the USB printer controller. Any ideas on how to get the printers to print?

An oddity - sometimes the Lexmark printer comes up as connected to LPT1. I don't think there is even a physical LPT1 port...

Try totally disabling the Windows firewall on both computers and print again.

Cool. Got it . Does it have to be a gf ? I mean, if a lady friend does the invite and both spend the night with me, would this scenario still be classified under bidirectional support ?
