Pretty sure it's about this (http://www.washingtonpost.com/local/hispanic-kids-the-largest-group-of-children-living-in-poverty/2011/09/28/gIQArfC54K_story.html)?

Um yeh... No. Not that anyones kid is going to grow up to be Superman but I thought it was a little weird that a "My First Career Gear" costumes would consist of being a sign holder on the side of a road. The bracelet comment was because 90% of the sign holders are fresh out the gate. One of the only jobs that openly hires fellons.

But, many road workers actually make a damn good penny. So I don't think it has to do with Hispanics or poverty.

Am I missing something too?

Doesn't everyone deserve a second chance? :dunno:

That's good clarification. I thought you meant that getting that job would mean you'd pretty much never get out of it.

I worked for the state for many years, working to develop the current parolee tracking and monitoring systems. Most, say 75%, of the people coming out were on their 2nd, 3rd or 4th try. Not all were from felonies but most had built up to that level.

So in my opinion, to answer your question, if it were you or me (someone that mad a 1 time mistake) I would say yes. A lot of these people have used their "second chance" years ago....

No way... I have a buddy that started by holding a sign after H.S. and now he is in the "over 200k" club.
