He was a hell of a nice guy also, he spent a couple hours with me walking around explaining the history of all his bikes. Even seemed to enjoy answering my stupid questions.

Sad to hear. It sounds like he was a well liked man with a passion for motorcycles. I hope the museum stays open. I wasn't aware of it's existence before, but I wouldn't mind checking it out.

Jim will be missed - he is well know in the vintage biking community and his museum is well worth a visit. I hope everyone can make the ride - he just lost his wife 6 months ago - his family could use all of our support. See you there Mary, MotoGear Outlet

Not only was Jim a legend, but a true gentleman and a scholar as it were. We only crossed paths maybe 5 times in the last 5 years out of 20, but our mutual love of duc's, screaming yamaha 2 strokes and scoots was a constant. I never saw him be rude to anyone, even those who were less than polite in his museum.

I am sorry i couldn't attend today.

Sorry to hear this. Made a run down to his museum for the first time just last month. If you ride... you should visit this place. Take your camera and a bag to drool into.
