I want to find a few beers and maybe a bottle of wine for my buddy's wedding gift. I'm looking for a variety on the beer, and something that isn't brewed often. same for the wine. I want it to be from Colorado too.

Anyone have ideas?

There are a ton of microbrews in this state. Just a matter what you are looking for.

As to wine: http://www.winesofcolorado.com/
They have a pretty large selection and are located in Cascade, which is between Colorado Springs and Woodland Park.
Here their selection: http://www.winesofcolorado.com/wineries.html

I assume large liquor stores in Denver, like Davidson's, would also carry some good CO wines.

If you really want something unique, get one of the "lips of faith" brews from new belgium. I think they only come in single bottles.

If your looking for 1 of my favorite liquors... Tbilisi

I think it's a Georgian Brandy, but compares to a couple hundred dollar bottle of congac!!!!! It's dam good & almost orgasmic!!! Especially for $35-$50/bottle!!

I got it a couple years ago near the park meadows large liquor store ($35). Before that it was at a very small local near mi Casa of Hampton/Yosemite.

Sorry if I can't give much more detail, but it's been about 4 years since my last envibe of Tblisi (sp.. but I think I'm close).

I would think the park meadows would still have... I HOPE!!! If you can please send to AZ as we don't have it!!!

Odell's Woodcut series about 20 bucks for one bottle. It's an oak aged beer definitely unique.

Go to a larger liquer store ie. AppleJacks and hit up their microbrew section...they should have a lot of singles for sale.

I usually buy unique Colorado micro's for work buddy's every year and they also enjoy them.

I LOVE Bristol Brewery's seasonal Venetucci Farms Pumpkin Ale (http://www.bristolbrewing.com/news_detail.asp?n_id=107), perfect if he's having a fall wedding. Bristol hasn't released it yet, but they've already "sold out" on their pre-sale inventory. However, you can still get it at the stores once it's realeased on Oct 18... but it's a major Where's Waldo!

Last year I had to visit five stores before I found one that still had some bottles in stock... and I took an hour off to drive 20 miles roundtrip from work to get them!

Bristol is Springs-based.

Dry Dock brewery in Aurora, it's pretty good, and I just found it about a week or two ago. Their IPA is pretty excellent (if you like IPAs).

Also not a wine or beer, but definitely check out http://leopoldbros.com/

Leopold Brothers' Pre-Prohibition Style American Small Batch Whiskey makes a great Old Fashioned (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Old_Fashioned).

They also have a number of other liquors such as gin, vodka, absinthe and and liqueurs that I haven't had the chance to try.
