Where can I take Sweetie to get her some mild lager or pilsner and still find myself some extra hoppy goodness tonight on a student budget(happy hour and beyond)?

Driving from (the) I-25 and 120th in Westminster...

Baker Street (120th/Federal) has some solid happy hour prices. Also, the Mellow Mushroom on the 16th street mall has Colorado brewed beers for $3 (I think). Good pizza too.

If you want some awesome wings with the beer, go to The Old Man Bar in Broomfield: http://www.theoldmanbar.com/ You will also avoid the Fri p.m. traffic going towards downtown on the I.

I dunno what kind of beer they have, but Happy Hour is 3pm - 7pm: http://www.theoldmanbar.com/The-Old-Man-Specials.cfm

I've really only had wings and margaritas there.

The old man also has great BBQ. The pulled pork is awesome and their fried okra rocks out!

You should try it sometime. If it weren't for a friend, I probably would have never tried it because it looks a bit like a dive (it's officially a Roadhouse). But those were the best wings I've had so far, incl the BBQ sauce that was mentioned.
And good thing I do not live within walking distance of that place.... .

Next time, I'll also try the pulled pork and okra; after the wings! :eyebrows:
