Winner.
Here's the head. To get enough airflow at 12,000rpm(!) to get the job done, you'll need a skillfully ported head, complete with titanium valves and copper-beryllium valve seats:

Not even the manufacturer?
To be perfectly honest not by much no the Manufacturer prob only made about 25% on the part after it is made. The process for something like that is long and a pain in the ass. The only winner there may be is the Distributor if there is one in this case.

Impressive but unless you are racing at a high dollar that part isn't paying for itself.

That's because they are just the builders they dont need to see the $ for what they are putting together. My point is that the car wont pay for itself for whomever the owner is. Its different when i sell a customer a 3,200 HP motor for $200,000 I am the distributor the Company (Siemens) that is building me the motor the guys on the floor don't know that each coil they put into the stater is 2k a piece nor do they care they just get handed the parts and say build this. That motor once completed will have paid for itself in 6 months.
This car once completed will cost x amount and you get a car...nobody wins except the middle man counting his cash.
Not to say that this isn't impressive because it is..I just cant justify purchasing this.
Also give me the spec on max output torque that clutch is handling.

Is someone really talking about value? This whole idea must have wings because it went WAY over your head...
Friggin awesome thing to see. I probably would've picked an Audi or something but hey, he's the one with the $$$...

who cares...its just plain sick
you don't build a car like that, or modify anything, for that matter, for monetary returns

Also give me the spec on max output torque that clutch is handling.
Doing the math, 2000 horsepower at 12000 rpm = 942.67 lb/ft torque. I would guess the engine can sustain a little over 800 lb/ft steady state.
more: 1523PS is about 1508 BHP, so torque at 12000 rpm is 660 lb/ft. Peak torque looks to occur at about 7500 rpm, which equates to peak torque of about 1015 lb/ft

Topic was cost, not value.
And I didn't say you couldn't talk about it, I said you're missing the point of a build like that. It's like saying a rowboat is a waste of money because it won't tow a skier...it's just plain missing the point.:loop:
