I start mine once in a while, I rev it up a little too, but then the noise scares me and turn it off and hide under the covers. And and and one time I sat on my bike and made vroom vroom noises. Let me tell you that was enough thrill for me.

I don't have time to babysit. Yours was the only response when I opened this thread.

As far as everybody else with their hilarious comments are concerned, I'm guessing they didn't notice what forum this was posted in (here, I'll save y'all the trouble of trying to find it - it's Northern CO)... I'm no rocket scientist, but my guess is that the question was directed at people from that area.

Valuable information posted in another thread.

I don't read threads! I just post up whatever I want at all times. That way you guys/gals can know the extent of my brilliance on a moment to moment basis.

Actually I did notice. I just choose to break the rules!

my cutoff is 25-30, depending on wind and subsequent windchill...can't afford heated gear, so I just rock my summer rain gloves, with some thin liners

I took a short ride from Aurora to Colorado Springs and back yesterday because the weather was so nice and I knew it was going to snow today. I don't get north of Denver very often unless I'm on my way to Ft. Collins to see my son at CSU.

I don't ride unless I can get some decent lean on and unless the sun has been out for a while and the temps are say 50+ the pavement and tires are just too cold. Needless to say, not much riding in the winter. Riding staight down the road doesn't do it for me.

Joelchambers03
Mon Dec 5th, 2011, 12:02 PM
I rode up to carter lake just the other day before the snow it was only like 40° but if you got the right gear its not bad at all. I ride all through out the winter even if I can't get a good lean going in my opinion cold weather separates the motorcycle riders from the motorcycle owners that let the bike just sit in there garage.. As long as its 40°ish i'm riding I can't get enough I love it!

I installed some heated grips just after x-mas and when i had them on high my hands started getting to hot. only paid $30 for them as they are just the elements that you wrap around the handle.

Geez, this cold weather just won't end! I'm going out today anyway(high around 40). Tired of waiting for a warm-up. Trouble is my Aprilia mille r is a booger to start in the cold. Just have to watch the throttle on the corners.

put about 150 miles on the bike today wind was bad in some areas and calm in others.. Hit up horsetooth and through mason ville across to carter lake road conditions not terrible mostly clear very minimal gravel or debris. Although a couple wet spots from snow run off.. So excited for summer!
