Since I'm not into the sys-admin side of things, I figured I'd ask here.
I have a Pogoplug that I flashed to run arch linux. link (http://archlinuxarm.org/platforms/armv5/pogoplug-v2-pinkgray)
I have a Windows 7 machine with a network share set up that I use autofs to mount on the pogoplug.
Everything works fine so long as the Windows machine remains on; however, it is set to sleep (how I want it, that way only the pogoplug is on all the time, from which I can wake up my desktop). When it goes to sleep, the pogoplug stalls when I try to access the share (naturally).
My Question: is there any way to auto-unmount the share?
Some notes: after the desktop is no longer available, the mount only shows up when using the 'mount' command, but not 'df'
It has been suggested that I set up a cron, but I would think that there should be some other more native way to do it. Any suggestions and/or insight would be greatly appreciated (I can also provide more info if need be).
Thanks
