Wow, that's awesome.

Know if they're doing a car day as well? Easier for me to just drive poor there than prep the bike & beg for trailer space.

Same. I think my tires would make one more day, especially as I doubt I'd be pushing it, but ditching the relatives and getting the bike out there...

I suppose I could ride it out, but never been a huge fan of doing that in case you toss your ride home down the track.

I rode at HPR with Chicane. Does that count or does it have to be an HPR lapping day?

You must have been a paying customer in 2011, either with the track or one of the clubs that ran an event.

While we appreciate the donation, this day is set aside as a thank you for those that were customers in 2011, either at a club event or an HPR lapping day.

Even if you don't see it, you'll definitely hear Bueller's 250. It's louder than most Ducatis.

Thanks HPR, too bad no one showed up, probably 15 or so bikes.

too bad no one showed up, probably 15 or so bikes.

Short notice made it hard to juggle getting a ride, and the holidays bracketing the week didn't help.

With more notice I probably could've gotten a ride, gotten the radiator flushed and the bike ready to go, but as it was, just not enough time...but, for those who went, I'm sure an empty track with 15 riders had to be a blast--wet or not.

Jealous, I could't make it because I was busy all day fixing my baby and doing an oil change (had an awesome time with the battery situation...). This isn't worth making its own thread, but 6 months later my bike is finally fixed... I didn't replace the collector pipe ($1500 for a dent? No thanks, that's even too OCD for me.). No fiberglass on, the seat fairing is still on back order >.<; the damaged one is on there now. Got my clutch and case covers on, Samcosport hoses on there too (KTM Orange) :D.

Going to try and make it the first Sunday in Feb...

I even bought a new Hero 2 and LCD add-on. They also make a roll bar mount, so I figured I'd see if I could mount it more securely than with the cup or stickies. Worked out pretty good, even safety wired it!

Looking forward to it. Make sure you edit out me parking it in the corners. Im sticking with the excuse that its a street bike, and my only one. If I run off and wad it up, Im screwed. Its my story, Ill tell it how I want. :jerkoff:

Sorry didn't see this, I can't remember two of the three without looking, but Shane Turpin was one of them... that made it more fun for sure. But hands down, that school is AMAZING. I did the 2-day, and yes it's at Miller. If we get enough, they'll come to you... But I doubt many people will buck up, it was for $2000 for the 2-day. It was worth every penny though, I signed up immediately after I put the RC8 down. I lost a little confidence and felt I HAD to do something to improve my riding for my wallet's sake.

As long as you are having fun out there that is what counts. I get passed all the time by guys going a lot faster than myself, I just keep working on being smooth. Speed comes with smooth. It was good to meet and ride with you and thanks for the air. Hope your ride home was uneventful.

They are smooth and I had no issues with traction, a couple of the seams looked like they might need some touchup but it was way better than the pavement they replaced.

great to meet you also
yes, the smooth factor is starting to get thru my thick skull, prolly take a bit longer for me than many-natural ability certainly appears to make a difference, and i have a very limited amount of that

as far as fun goes, this track riding is making its way to the top of the fun list

hope to see all out there this spring- as the track bike needs me to shim a few valves, and put a nicer color scheme on the plastic
that will take a couple of months
shoot, its gotta start snowing sooner or later...right?
cheers
