Staying Downtown this weekend and even tho I grew up in Colorado and have spent a lot of time in Denver I havent really seen the city in years now that im in Castle Rock.

Im looking for a few recommendations/favorites that are off the beaten path or that are new to Denver. Really anything you think is a "must" do, see or eat id like to hear about and check out.

Gimmie what cha got!

Yep. It and only it--and CB is on Colfax, so you can "rent" an "escort"!

FOOD: You can't go wrong with most of the establishments in Larimer Square (http://www.larimersquare.com/), including salsashark's recommendation for Euclid Hall. My personal go-to is Osteria Marco.

ARTS: Santa Fe Arts District (http://www.artdistrictonsantafe.com/).

SCOTCH: Pints Pub (http://pintspub.com/) for ales and single malt whiskeys!

I'd recommend Coohills (Wewatta and Speer) if you're wanting to have nice dinner. Opened in December and the meat is excellent. Not crazy expensive, but a little on the pricey side.

I like the Blake Street Vault if you're looking for a drink or two. Have a Moscow mule and ask for a tour of the basement. A lot of history in that place.

Want a burger or a good lunch spot? I love H Burger and My Brothers Bar (1st bar opened in Denver).

woops... yeah, I meant Euclid Hall (http://euclidhall.com/index.html). That place is great.

We used to patronize that place when it was Soapy Smith's. Nothing better than a dive bar punk/ska show. But it's night and day different today.

+1 for My Brothers Bar, GREAT PLACE!

Also, I took a date to Hammond's Candies for a short free tour, last weekend and it was really fun. It would be great for the family too.

Im stoked to get out and about! Thanks for all the ideas, I cant wait to try em. I have been wanting to check out 1UP for a while.

Staying at the Magnolia. If you have never stayed there its bad ass! Huge rooms with tons of space for not a lot of coin. Should be a nice weekend!
