Welp, it looks like the thieves are becoming active in the Rockies.
Last night some thieves broke into our garage here in Colorado Springs and stole our scooter.
It is an Aprilia SR50, black in color with red trim. My wife is pretty bummed about this as I bought
this for her last year to help fill a void from swearing off motorbikes after my big accident.
There was a couple other bikes in there but the scooter is all they took, along with some easy to pawn Dewalt cordless power hand tools. Here's a couple pictures, it also has a Bashedbikes decal on the tail section, and an Iron Butt Association license plate holder on the rear render. I know this is a long shot, but I feel I need to share if not for to let others be more aware to help prevent this kind of stuff. Thanks for any info if you see this cruisin around or on Craigslist.

Dood! I had a low mileage 2001 just like this that was stolen two years ago! The dipshit lived two blocks from me and I saw the lower fairing under a tarp while walking my dog a month later. Criminals can be such idiots. If you get insurance money for it...I got $1500 on it in 2009...I am selling my 2007 SR50 R Factory here in a month or so. I am a the staff photographer for the Pikes Peak Hill Climb so I am down there often. I will talk to the racers I know and tell em to keep an eye out for somebody trying to sell a pit scooter that looks hot.

Ya, I have info that the scoot is probably still in the hood. They had to push it where it is so it's close, cuz they didn't couldn't start it. Also have some intel on the type of vehicle casing my house eary that morning.
the insurance will pay out, and some time in the future they will slip u pand I will get it back or get some revenge. :wait:

F'ing sucks man, good to hear on the lead tho. I'll def. keep an eye out here. Wish ya the best of luck on getting her back. If you want you can PM me the suspect vehicle info since we are close and then I can keep a watch out as I know most of the vehicles in the area.

Thefts have been getting worse here, me and my neighbors of the shop have had to chase several people/vehicles out of the alley and surrounding area more frequently in the past couple of months. They are either getting braver or more stupid. One vehicle acquired a "strange" hole added to its rear bumper after it intentionally tried to run down a individual at high speed.

You know I'm in the area, I'd notice if I saw that anytime soon.
